What salon software should measure beyond bookings
Bookings are an input, not the final outcome. Owners need to see whether demand becomes completed visits, revenue, repeat visits, and a healthier schedule.
A practical funnel is page view, booking intent, confirmed booking, completed visit, and next booking. Break it down by service, location, staff member, device, and acquisition channel.
Utilization should state its denominator. Delivered service minutes divided by available working minutes tells a different story than the number of calendar slots filled.
Metrics need a timezone, date window, cancellation rule, gross/net definition, and freshness timestamp. Without those details, dashboards create false precision.
