How to build a bilingual booking experience for Canadian salons
Language choice is part of booking confidence. A visitor should be able to switch between English and Canadian French without losing the selected service, date, or booking details.
Translate the whole decision path: service names supplied by the salon, policies, deposit explanations, validation errors, confirmation pages, reminders, and management links. Translating only the header creates a confusing experience at the moment trust matters most.
Keep salon-authored names and descriptions under owner control. The platform can translate its interface, while the salon decides whether a service needs a professional French version.
Use Canadian date, currency, and time conventions, and respect the salon’s timezone rather than the visitor’s device timezone when describing an appointment.
